RE: Lime for Lavender

Early Spring is the time to feed most shrubs, I never feed my Lavender and it is always blooming.
It is the French one which is best for our warmer climate, you would probably grow a different one.
Dont forget Lime sweetens the soil, dont put any near your camelia's, azalea's or acid loving plants.
Cheers..MM

The lime is only to adjust the pH of the soil. Lavanders prefer slightly alkaline soil, so if your soil is already alkaline you won't need lime. A soil test kit will help you determine if you have a problem.

Sorry - I forgot to mention - lime in June, so that the lime does not interfere with the uptake of any fertilisers that might be applied in Spring.
