Lime for Lavender

| Could someone please tell me wqhen I should feed lime to my lavenders. I undestand it is good for them.Thank you. |

Early Spring is the time to feed most shrubs, I never feed my Lavender and it is always blooming. It is the French one which is best for our warmer climate, you would probably grow a different one. Dont forget Lime sweetens the soil, dont put any near your camelia's, azalea's or acid loving plants. Cheers..MM |

| The lime is only to adjust the pH of the soil. Lavanders prefer slightly alkaline soil, so if your soil is already alkaline you won't need lime. A soil test kit will help you determine if you have a problem. |

| Sorry - I forgot to mention - lime in June, so that the lime does not interfere with the uptake of any fertilisers that might be applied in Spring. |
