Longevity Spinach

Posted by MartinL NSW (My Page) on

Dear all,

Recently, my mother is looking for a special kind of plant called "LONGEVITY SPINACH" in Sydney. But she has not been successful at all.

I am wondering if any member here knows about it ? If yes, where is it available ?

Many thanks in advance.

Gynura procumbens, aka Sambung... in case you're still looking. I just googled it. It's a S.E.Asian plant with many supposed health benefits. Hope that helps :-)

RE: Longevity Spinach

Shipards Herb Farm in Nambour, QLD may have it. That's the only (possible) Australian supplier I can see, and no indication of whether or not they do mail order. It seems to be well-known and used in various parts of S.E.Asia, inc. Malaysia and Thailand where it grows wild.
