Here's the other picture, I dunno, I still have worked out how to post two pictures to the one message. Guess it doesn't matter, takes ages to get one picture to load, probably take twice as long for 2.
By the way Chas, you asked if that Eremophila was related to Wormwood. No, no relation; Wormwood is Artemesia absinthium, the source, or one of the sources of, absinth which folks use to get high on or drunk on back in the 19th century. Artemesia generally is regarded as a herb and most are native to the northern hemisphere.

Love those flowers. The whole tree is very impressive
We have a tulip tree growing in Southern Ontario, but it's yellow and looks very different. I'll look up the botanical name. I was surprised to see it's zone 6a hardy, as I've only seen it in more temperate climes before.

Ours is called =Liriodendron tulipifera and has different leaves too. Unfortunately, I'm unable to post a photo at this time.

Gaillardia or Blanketflower is a good 'plant it and forget it" flower. I planted some seedlings last spring and around October they were finally big enough to bloom. And they haven't stopped. Even on the recent mornings where I've had frost weighing down the burned stems of other plants, the Gaillaria has been quite happy and seems to have a new bloom for me every other day. They're not very tall, but over time they will sprawl across the ground like a blanket. And a bonus is that they self-seed. So even if I do lose one to frost (not likely from what I've seen so far) there should be plenty of offspring ready to take over.

Jay, that is probably my 4th or 5th passionfruit. I like the taste. I'm gonna spoon this one over some ice cream. Ethan, yes, that is a potted M alba. It has bloomed almost since mid summer. What a great tree. I got another "fragrant" tree, a Dwarf Ylang-ylang, Cananga odorata var. fruticosa, that is a complete disappointment. No fragrance at all in my Missouri greenhouse. It grew well through the summer but right now is showing significant leaf drop and stem dieback. Not sure it's going to make it. There are pics of my GH on my "My Page." I don't really have any outside pics more recent than that.

Yes, we have them around here. Although I don't think they're actually prohibited, they're strongly discouraged.
