Grev. Purple Haze

funnelweb

I planted this in June 2012 and it has finally flowered. It's a grafted West Australian native of heath and woodland environs. Rare in the east states but seems to be thriving in a soil of sandy, well drained loam. Perhaps not as spectacular as other grevilleas but the colours are unique, I think, and the bush is, what, of attractive fern like foliage mounding to about half a metre and the flowers appear at the ends of long stems extending well beyond the bush. I know I haven't shown it before cause this is the first time it's flowered.
B.
PS. Perhaps more pinkish than purple, though some other flowers are showing purple traits. The grey in the background is also a west Aussie, an eremophila.
