I know, I've shown this Grevillea, Mt Brockman (a grafted specimen), before but it's now starting to come into full flower and is looking magnificent. if folks have seen it before well, here it is again.

They look very nice. I see a lot of them out bush (not grafted though, LOL).

Given that it's an Aussie native, where in the bush do you see them, tropicbreezent?

Mainly on/around the Arnhem Land Plateau. Mt Brockman is an outlier of the Plateau. It's predominantely sandstone, similar formation to what you have from around Newcastle down to Nowra.

Yes, it is a Northern Territory native (G. Formosa). Mine's been growing happily as a grafted specimen since 2003 - I understand it performs best away from its natural habitat as a grafted tree, the rootstock being G. Robusta.

Colder wetter soil would rot the roots, whereas G. robusta is used to that. It's good that that graft takes well.

Your 'My Page', Tropicb.... suggests you're in the U.S. Are you? Or are you in the N.T.? Or some other part of Aus.? No need to be too specific.
