Great to see on this forum again. PP arrived home yesterday I think but I haven't been in touch yet. Thought I'd let the jet lag lessen first.

Where would I find your list? I'm a bit out of touch, but I'm sure you can tell me what's hot Up Over this year? I do know I would like to try Neves Azorean Red (spelling?). I will be in touch soon. Glad to hear PP is home safely.

CPM is a big, beautiful shrub in her third year here in sunny, hot, and dry California. She's very content with deep watering once every week and a half or so, and being heavily mulched with horse poop and pine needles. Goooorgeous, smelly flowers!!!!!

Oh, Vettin, I'm so sorry, I could be wrong, but I don't think anyone carries FAIREST ONE (aka MERLOT) anymore. That's why I snapped it up fast last year. I was afraid with the J&P thing going on, that I would never be able to grow it if I didn't get to Ritter's nursery early--which I made sure that I did. Glad I did because they quickly flew out of there. I'm sorry, Vettin. :( Thanks for the update on your FAIREST ONE's performance so far this year, Azure Rose. Hmmm...weak necks you say? I wondered about that as I saw Beth's photo on HMF, and it looked like it had a weak neck. Mine had weak necks at first. Hoping to correct this fault, I watered the heck out of it all summer long & fertilized it with a Miracle-Gro continuous 3 months feed. Happily, the stems got stronger and much more upright, but not vigorously so. I sure hope yours get, and mine keeps getting, stronger necks this year because as you say the flowers are fantastic!...just perfection! :-)

Melinda thank you for the wonderful things you sent.I needed peat pellets so they were very much appreciated along with the Lily Bulbs.I planted them thisafternoon.The foliage plant arrived in perfect condition.All I need to do was plop it in a pot and it looks like I just bought it at a store!!Love It!!.I also loved the kitchen towel.It is soo spring looking with the pretty flowers on it.That Lady Bug Shelf Sitter really makes me smile.That is *pardon the pun* Cute As A Bug!!Also a big thank you for the suet cake.My woodpeckers have been going thru them like mad lately. Well Melinda and everyone thanks again for making my month as princess a special one.I can't wait to you all have your turns at the throne so I can repay your kindness : )) Nancy

Hi all, It's been awhile since we've done our last update on our herb garden. We went away on vacation for a few days and came back to some sad looking plants. We made sure the jars were full before we left, but unfortunately our plants were too thirsty. The basil and mint plant jars were bone dry and the plants were drooping like crazy. This is a picture from our cat sitter from halfway through the vacation. She was a bit worried! Luckly for us, when we got back all we had to do was refill the jars and a day or two later we had some happy and healthy plants. We've already had a couple meals with the basil and the parsley. I'm in the process of looking up some great Mojito recipes for the wife and me. Looking forward to those! Here are a couple pictures of the happy plants that I just took this morning. They love this light! Crazy roots!

Ray, I still have seeds for those Aussie tomatoes earmarked for you. There won't be as many varieties as I would have liked as the PGRC stuff arrived too late for this year. Still, I managed to plant 10 each of GL :>), Scoresby Dwarf, Simpson Summer Palace and Bush Whopper (PGRC via a fellow grower locally)...seems to me I missing something. Anyhoo, 250+ varieties of tomatoes plus other veg.

Grub, I don't share my list or trade anymore, but will send seeds to friends as requested. PP stayed with me and took inventory so she's already earmarked much of the stuff she wants and, being the organized data-gatherer she is, most probably will remember what I'm growing; Ray sent me Fritsche so generously and promptly, collects Australian tomatoes like I collect Canucks so I am happy to forward anything he would like; Peter collects Greek stuff as do I so I'll be sending him seeds; you make me laugh reading your posts, and that's enough to make me want to share. Plus any friend of PP's is a friend of mine.

Hi folks! I'm back, but not adjusted :P I'm missing the northern hemisphere long twilights! My garden is almost non-existent here - there are just a few peppers dangling on leafless stems... *sob*

Found some Suttons 'Tumbling Tom' (Red and Yellow) seeds, but no Balcony Red or Yellow that you wanted me to look out for Jennifer.

Will post here again soon - hoping to get seeds sent out to people next week for those who sent me SASEs.
