Silk Trees maintenance

i was wondering if anybody knows a good time to prune your silk tree, is it in the winter? also i have alot of little sprouts popping up under my tree, can i re plant these in other places or will they not survive??? can anyone help me???

Yes I would prune in the winter before new growth starts, your Albizia julibrissin ( Silk Tree ) grows to about 10 mts tall ( 30ft ) and 15 mts wide ( 45ft ) so a very wide tree. Have a look at the link below plenty of info there about pruning...Cheers...MM.

I have a beautiful silk tree which has been infested with what I believe are borers. We have had to remove limbs because they have been so compromised by the damage. How can we treat the tree?
