What Tree Is This?

Hi,

I'm doing an "Adopt A Tree" assignment, but the tree I chose to adopt is one that I can't identify!

Here is a picture of my tree:

And here is a closer picture of the kind of leaf that is on my tree:

Any help with this is appreciated! Thanks in advance.

It could be a Pachira aquatica, however you would be best to send some closer images and a picture of the entire leaf and not just a leaflet.

Usually, at the Oregon based forum Turf to Trees, ID is limited to local plants of that area, and basic tree care that is useful almost anywhere. That's where I'm most active.

If you don't find out exactly what you have, post again, as I have a couple of ideas for sites you could go to for help.

One international for trees but based out of Australia, and another international based out of Canada.

If you need more, I can take the time to code-in the URL links.

Your leaf is almost Magnolia dark green, and the form of the tree is Prunus resembling. Its a very handsome tree.
