Hi
Has anyone had any experience with growing Schotia Brachypetala (Weeping Boer Bean or Parrot Tree) in NSW (particularly as low down the coast as Sydney)? I am currently growing a few from seeds and would be interested to hear whether these are likely to flower in the Sydney climate.
Any pictures would be appreciated.

| Don't know if this will help (and you've probably seen it already) but I found this site which may give you an indication of whether or not your plants will flower. I know a few schotias (one about 40 years old and one about 30) and the tallest is approx 5 metres tall. The rainbow lorikeets love them (don't know if this is a good or bad thing). http://www.plantzafrica.com/plantqrs/schotiabrachy.htm |

| I have just bought a couple of these from the 'Friends of the Sydney Botanical Gardens Nursery'. So there examples of it there. |
