China doll

Does anyone know the botanical name of the China Doll tree? The one that is commonly used as an indoor plant. Is it Radermachera sinica? I can't find it anywhere in my books and online there are no pictures (with google anyway). My husband wants to grow one outside and we want to know how long will it take it to grow to a few metres, given decent conditions.
Thanks.
Donna.

Just a quick comment, you can use it or not.
This species certainly has potential to become a weed.
I frequently find recruits adjacent to planted garden trees, in n-eastern NSW, at least.

Thanks guys. I have decided not to plant one. My husband remembered his boss planted one years ago where they used to work so we went and had a look. It's huge already (it's no more than 14 years old) and it has big roots that are lifting the bitumen. I think I'll give it a miss. Beautiful tree though.
Donna.
