Blue Provence Fig

Greetings from America! I was curious to find out if anyone has a Blue Provence Fig tree which was offered by Goodman's Fruit Catalogue and Bunning's Catalogue in the early 1900's. I was hoping that someone may have kept track of it. The figs are supposed to have a true blue skin with very large ornamental leaves. I have a small collection of figs and just wanted to see if there were any still out there. Thanks!

RE: Blue Provence Fig

There's a "double entendre" group on the other side of the Tasman that deals in heirloom plants. The reference I have is for www.diggers.com.au.

On this side of the Ditch you could try Koanga Nursery, R.D.1, Maugaturoto, Northland attn: Kay Baxter. It is an organics nursery and specialises in heirloom fruits.

Another possible is Incredible Edibles at www.edible.co.nz.
