Pruning Murraya paniculata

I would like to know if there is a special season to prune Murraya paniculata. My hedge is already 3 meters high, but it is opened between plants, which were planted 40 cm in a long line (I decided for M. p. after consult this forum 2.5 years ago).

I want to close the part near the ground and guess the best way is to prune the top to make branches grow down there.

I intend to prune now in June, in Winter.
Any suggestion?

Here is a link that might be useful: My Murraya paniculata

Hi there your problem is very common... You need to prune the murraya back by 1/3 overall... dont be afraid to be a little harsh as they love it.... fertilise with a complete fertiliser also

Thanks "murraya" for the information. I will do it anyway. Later I will show the result...
