| Any tips on who to sprout conkers(horse chestnut seeds), so we can have an endless suply of conkers to play with when they mature in 20 years! |

Just bury them to their own depth in a pot or in the open ground and wait until they sprout. Give you a game in 20 years?! |

You do realise just how big these magnificent trees are? Are you planning on playing with children and grandchildren? Takes me back to my childhood wwhere the local parek did have several huge trees, and we collected the nuts for conkers. |

| I have grown 20 or so across the front of my block from seed-nuts planted last winter. Don't bury them too deep, and DON'T allow the nuts to get hot in storage as this kills them really quickly. Plant them then place a plastic treeguard around them (you know the type- held in place with 3 bamboo canes) to protect them from bugs and rabbits. The seedlings should come up in the spring when you have given up all hope of them ever growing... Robyn |
