I just planted my first peach tree. I live in zone 5 spokane washington, I have done alot of searching and can only find out that peaches are fussy. I am worried that my peach won't bud out. It's buds are all fuzzy grey, no green yet. Here it is Almoste may. Is this normal? I think the tree is about 3 years old I think? I need advice!!!!

RE: Peach trees???

You might be better off asking on the US gardening forum where people who live in your area will be able to help you. (this is the Australian/New Zealand forum) Having said that, I used to own a stoonefruit orchard and never found peaches to be particularly fussy... If you want to check that the tree is OK, scratch a little bark off a thin branch with your fingernail. If it is green underneath it should be fine.
