| we have just removed several rosemary bushes that lined the driveway. We are now trying to find out a suitable replacement. One plant we were wondering about is the camellia?
Any advice if this would be a suitable plant would be appreciated. |

Can you elaborate on the soil type, site conditions and bed size. Cheers. |

| Sandy loam, morning shade full afternoon sun and bed size approx. 5m x 1.4m (LXW). |

I'd suggest using a shrub than a tree. Camellia sasanqua would be ok for that position. You could try planting a small clipped Buxus or gardenia at the front of the bed and a taller shrub at the back, Camellia or the Magnolia grandiflora'Little Gem which has amazing flowers. Cheers |

| What about the port wine magnolia - that's very nice too. |

| Have you thought of a rose hedge? Crepescule would do well in that soil and you seem to suggest that the spot might get its 6 hours of sun. Mutabilis makes a great hedge too. Barb |
