Is this a safe tree to plant in a suburban garden?
I'm a bit scared it will get out of control. Does it sucker and what climate is it suited to. Is it a good shade tree? I've heard stories to the extreme about it -
either excellent or nightmare. Nothing in between!
In other words, will I regret planting it.
Thanks, Sam

I haven't heard anything about suckering, but they are potentially a large, fast growing tree which is (at least here) deciduous and not spreading so not much of a prospect for shade. Do some searching under the name Paulownia or contact your state DPI for some info.
