Hi all,
I wonder if some of you camellia experts out there might be able to help me. I saw a beautiful camellia; it was pale pink medium sized bloom and it reminded me of a water lily. Does anyone have any suggestions? I would love to buy one for my garden.
Cheers,
Dee.

Dee there are so many Camellia's, Japonica and Sasanqua this link is in Brissie
Prince Frederick William on the Japonica page looks a lot like a Pink Water Lily
You may see the one you are after on the pages, if not maybe someone will link you.
with a Camellia website from down your way, I do hope you find it. Cheers....MM

Thanks for that MM. Unfortunately none of them were the one I was after. I tried using Google but couldn't seem to come up with a good selection of pictures.
The one I was looking for has somewhat pointier petals and is a very simple flower. I might try again...who knows?
Cheers,
Dee.

Hi MM,
I did have a little success this time. I found a camellia called 'Magnoliaflora' which looks quite a lot like my memory of that bloom. Do you (or anyone else) know if this is available in Aust. or perhaps there is something similar?
Here's hoping!
Dee.

Thankyou for that MM. Magnoliaflora is looking like she might be joining my family. Have you ever done business with Mont Burg? I am a bit of a scaredy-cat when it comes to mail order!!
Dee.

No sorry, but I should not worry about it, I have bought other things Mail order bulbs mostly, and small tubes from other places and did not have any trouble. Sometimes that is the only way to get what you want. And they are in Victoria I noticed on the home Page maybe you can go to their nursery they have the address and opening times on that page also. Cheers MM.

Hi again mistymorn,
Thanks for noticing that. I hadn't actually seen it myself. Although they are near Geelong and I am in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, it is not out of the question to make a Sunday drive out of it...in fact it is quite appealing.
Cheers,
Dee.
