Can any one tell me of a nursery in Victoria or Australia where I might be able to buy a populous tremuloides?

You can grow them from cuttings or dig up a sucker - they grow wild all over the place. They are terrible plants for sending up suckers, so you might find you wished you had never grown them. If you are still determined, try hellohello.com.au and see if they have them there on non-suckering rootstock. Aspens are lovely to look at, but real trouble in the garden.

I was under the impression that populous tremuloides which is the American Aspen did not sucker. I wonder if you are thinking of populous tremula which is the European Aspen?
