I have an olive tree which is in a pot but after nearly ten years, I am yet to see a flower or fruit. Does any one know a possible reason?

Has to be a pollination problem. Have a read of the link below.....MM

Here is a link that might be useful: Olive trees

Do you know what variety it is?
Some do not fruit for many years and there are also ornamental varieties that do not fruit at all. Commercial groves expect to wait 5 - 7 years for fruit & some do take 10 years.
Pollination could be a problem but if you're not even getting any flowers I suspect it's something to do with the variety you have.
If you can tell me the variety I will try & find out when it should start producing.

Thank you mistymorn and Sarah. Unfortunately, I have no idea what variety it is. I bought it from nursery on the NSW Central Coast and long ago lost the label. Perhaps it is only ornamental.
