Rooting Eucalyptus species

Does anyone have words of advice relating to inducing a species of Eucalytus to produce roots? I have an unknown sp. of this genus and would like to propagate in our tropical coservatory. The winter temps. here in Virginia are too cold(-5 degrees C)for growing outside.I have tried Indoleacetic, indolebutanoic, and Naphtheneacetic acids both as a talc suspension and as a liquid soln. and using varying mixture ratios of peat-moss and sand, Perlite, etc.No Luck!
Any info will be much appreciated.

There doesn't seem to be an awful lot of information in regard to your query. This may be because eucalypts are so readily available here and also quite cheap. More gardeners would propagate from seed than to attempt cuttings I think.

I found this one article that may be of interest to you. I hope it is. Just type in guest as username and also as password.

Cheers,
Dee.

Here is a link that might be useful: Rooting Eucalyptus globulus

Sorry, I meant to add that I think it might be better to post your query on the Australian Native Plants forum. You may find more help there. This forum is trees and shrubs in general.

Cheers,
Dee.
