Help me choose a tree

I live in one of Brisbane's suburbs and have just put in a pool. I want to plant a couple of trees on the footpath to the west of the pool to give us afternoon shade. Can anybody suggest something fairly fast growing, evergreen and with non-invasive roots.

Hi Bunduki,
take your paid rates notice to the Council Tree Nursery and ask for your 2 free trees and just ask the Nurseyperson for some thing for the shade of your pool and you will need the approval to do any planting outside of your fenceline on the footpath. While you may care for your footpath area, its still belongs to the Council and you and all the other people that use the area in front of your home. Good luck. Peter r
