Small flowering shrub

I need you advice: I want to know what sort of a small flowering shrub I could put in a very large container on a spot that only gets the morning sun. I now have a bougainvillea there, but it really doesn't seem to strive all that well (the other one I've got in the full sun comes up great!!!). So I'm looking for something more suitable for this particular spot. Thanks a lot for your suggestions.

Hi Elfi.....What about Azalea they have Sun and Shade tolerant ones Poinsettia, Coral Plant, Geranium, Abulution, Ixora, French Lavender Crepe myrtle, Plumbago, Parade Rose, Tibouchina, Golden candles, Pentas, Gardenia, You could do a Goggle and see how much sun you need for some, others will get big but if you keep them trimmed they will be Ok....Hope this helps.....Cheers..MM.

Tropical (vireya) rhododendron might do ok, or medinilla. Or you could try one of the understory rainforest natives graptophyllum have attractive foliage though not a long flowering season . Or Orthosiphon - Cat's whiskers in purple or white & can be kept bushy with pruning
