Magnolia grandiflora growth rate?

Hi,
In the centre of my front lawn I currently have a medium to large sized Eucalyptus nicholii which I would eventually like to remove and replace with something more attractive. We have recently been admiring some of the large Magnolia grandiflora trees around town and I was wondering what sort of growth rate could be expected from one of these? I'm not interested in the "Little Gem" variety as it is far too small for my needs. It seems that the large varieties are not readily available, can anyone suggest where they might be available for sale in Western/Central Victoria.

| I have seen these for sale at wombat gully plant farm at hoppers crossing (not chris and maries) about 6 ft tall for about $80, i thought that was reasonable |
