Magnolia grandiflora - I have a dwarf magnolia "Bubblegum" I want to propagate - eventually as a bonsai. Can anyone tell me what part of the tree I need to take as a cutting and at what time of year I need to take it, and any other information I need to get it to grow roots?

i think you need choose some new young wood (like 1st year branches) and take them during the winter or spring.
before you put your cuttings (without any leaves) into the propergating mix you'd better put some cutting powder smear on the end of the cutting, but if you don't have any then use the ordinary honey.
