Rose Fragrance

Hi All....I have noticed that the fragrance of my roses in general is not as strong...Do you think it could be the weather?...I remember earlier in the rose season the fragrance was a knockout when I had vase in the room....Do you think air-con could have something to do with it? ( our house is airconditioned)....This is well into the 2nd & 3rd flush and they have been fantastic but lacking in fragrance...even ones like Just Joey,Mr Lincoln Perfume Delight etc...should I be adding something to the soil?...any thoughts would be appreciated...Thanks...Michelle

It's the weather, and that's why the spring blloms are always total knockout. Pick them earlier, when they start to open and put them in a vase asap. - Tom

Hi Michelle...I picked a cluster of Charles de Gaulle buds yesterday morning and put them in a vase on the dining table, I had to move them when we were eating dinner as they were a little on the powerful side, so Michelle it could be a combination of the A/C as well......Cheers..MM.
