Have forgotten where I saw the complaints that New Dawn was a "dog". Was it here or on the Oz Forum? Could never understand, 'cos for me it is a very satisfying rose. Just happened to notice that Jean had made up an arrangement using New Dawn, and this is how I see it mostly. One with flash, the other not. And of course, it just goes on and on. Anyone have problems with it?

Here is a link that might be useful: New Dawn

Lozza (and Jean) that is simply gorgeous - I love a whole vase of the one rose and this is beautiful. Can't wait for my ND to grow up.

Very kind of you Pam, to ignore the rubbish on the bench.

Beautiful, Lozza. I think it's a wonderful rose now but can understand how people might doubt it at first. I bought it years back on advice from a Sydney rose nursery and was disappointed for the first few years. It was slow to put on much of a show and there was little perfume to my nose, though some people rave about it. So I ignored it and, left to itself, it climbed into a large crab apple tree where, little by little, it turned into a stunner, covering itself and the tree with constant beautiful blooms.

Lozza, great shot!

I love my New Dawn climbers but unfortunately so do the local possums so it was an empty eyesore of just the prickly runners until I started spraying it with Poss Off and it is returning the favour by having lots of leaves and bloom growth.

Cheers,

Brissy
