That Permanent Wave flower got me to thinking...I wonder what parents PW had?
so I was doing a bit of a search...and look what I found...in the States, unfortunately.
It's called Red Wave.
Our PW came out in the 30s but I couldn't find much info on this one....but I'll keep looking.

Ok, I found that PWave was a sport of Else Poulsen which is ....wait for it....yes, pink and also known as Joan Anderson. Looks kind of pretty and the pink looks right.
Did you know that PWave is also known as the Duchess of Windsor (amongst others) and came from the Netherlands in 1932.
So far, that photo of Red Wave is the only one I've found but I have verified that it was by Ralph Moore (USA) in 1964 but that photo was from Italy.

Hiya Annie-yeah I knew about Else Poulsen and the alternate names.
I didn't know about Red Wave and I think it is GORGEOUS!
I want one!
Did Ralph Moore breed from PW or was RW a sport do you know?
best regards
