For all those people who have never got to this Victorian rose festival you still have until this weekend to get there. I just got back from taking my 80 year old mum over to fulfill a long cherished wish. We were in seventh heaven. Unfortunately the rain kept us from seeing the last garden "Wakefield Park' 'Gawalla' lovely big garden, and 'Sherwood had enormous English trees, both had beautiful rose rooms but "Roseamour" in Cavendish township itself was stupendous. Bonus is all the fab roses she has grown in full bloowm for sale at $4.50 - the saddest thing I couldn't fit any more in the car.
Please take the opportunity to visit if you can, you won't be sorry. |
