Rose with the name 'Caitlin' in it?

| Does anyone know of a rose with the name "Caitlin" in it? I bought a Bella Rosa for a friend when she had her first baby called Isabella. Now she has another baby, called Caitlin, and I was hoping to find another suitable rose. No luck googling though.
(Why couldn't she have called the baby something more easily matched - like Mister Lincoln or Just Joey?!) |

Hi there, I just ran on over to "helpmefind.com" and found three roses with the name 'Caitlin' in them. They are all miniatures, and I am not sure if they are available here, but I have included a link to the page for you anyway. regards, MeriBast |

I can't think of any rose that has Caitlin in the name. It might be easier to get your friend The Children's Rose or Happy Child. Vivienne |

| I have one here - I will look in the morning. It's a bit confusing though because it has Caitlin on the label but Cathryn on the reverse. It is a David Austin look alike rose. Apricot I think. Only new. |

| Thanks all - and thanks Sparaxis, I will look forward to hearing what you found! It's amazing what you find once you look into things. Caitlin is Celtic version of Kathryn/Catherine (etc) so we've found a few with variations of Kate that we could use: Kate’s delight, Kathryn McGredy, Kathryn Morley. Plus the literal meaning of the name is "pure" so that's another possibility to look into: Pure Love, Pure Perfume ... And would you believe we even found one with their surname in it! |

| From Swanes Nurseries, it is classed as a "Modern Heritage" rose, and is called Sweet Caitlin, with "Sweet Kathleen" written on the reverse. It is a lovely apricot, and my new bush is healthy with lush foliage but hasn't bloomed so i haven't seen it in real life yet. I would imagine it would make an ideal present for the new baby's parents. |

| Totally o/topic My son's partner wouldn't let him name his first daughter after me (custom.....1st girl gets grandmothers name ) Catherine. He got away with Caitlin a name she'd never heard before. Last laugh .....she chose Jane as a second name.......my grandmother was called Catherine Jane. Aren't I nasty :)) Cathy |
