Is LL shade tolerant? There are two bushes in a garden near me that get very little, if any sun and are teaming with blooms. They are old and were probably there before the shading trees.

I have a problem area which is shaded by the house for half the day and baked by afternoon sun. Worth trying LL? Or is there something else that might do better?

I have a 2yr old potted L.L. in late morning and early afternoon sun and while it isn't teeming with flowers, just a steady production,it doesn't have any BS which is unusual for my garden.
