Hi All Is anyone out there growing Jubilee Celebration. I put her in last year and although the flowers are lovely they nod and you have to turn them up to see them. also the bush itself has only grown about half a metre. The rest of last years new roses have really left her behind. I'm thinking of giving her one more season before I replace her. Most of the David Austins are very vigorous (some too much) so I am surprised she is so shy. Cheers Brodie

I think she is only a small rose. I love her. Flowers regularly for me. But I like nodding roses.

I planted two of these last year and although they produced a decent amount of blooms, the bush hardly grew for me either. It is supposed to grow to around a metre high but I can't see how - mine are both still around 30cms. however they are putting out a lot of new growth so will just wait and see how they go this season.

Thanks to SallyBCs and Vee71 for your input. Think I'll look for a replacement for Jub Cel garden spot and then put her in a big pot near the archway covered in Crepuscule at the moment and flowering superbly. Cheers

I found Christopher Marlow not terribly enthusiastic about growing last year too. I'm waiting with bated breath to see what he does this year (I'll see how he likes organic life)....he better get a shuffle on, and better have a nicer colour than he seemed to last year too, there's plenty of other contenders for his position!

If you don't like her small I think a pot would be lovely. Not for me though, I inevitably kill the one in pots.
