Charles Darwin

Has anyone had experience with Charles Darwin? I loved the photo on DA's website and the namesake always inspires me with awe (his books are so readable and easily available) so a reminder would be ... as the kids say .. awesome. Thinking of a row of 10 or so in a prominent position wrt views from my house. Was also thinking of Golden Celebration or Buff Beauty (attacked with hedgetrimmers regularly) but wonder if the latter might be too unwieldy. But still have not yet planted all my bare rooted roses (almost there) and still have about 20 roses to move so why on earth am I thinking about more rose beds? Ridiculous. But this one cannot be made until late summer as a wall has to come down and be replaced and so instead of the lawn above it, I will make a rose bed and may buy in pots and nurture until the new bed is a goer.

Don't know about CD but the man claimed the most important creature on earth is ........ the worm!
Tough choice between GC and BB... both are absolute favourites.. BB is a better bloom but GC the bush has better form.. either would be glorious.
Good luck with your glorious obsession.

The worm is pretty important! Thanks for the ideas Gavan - maybe I will do the whole yellow thing and go with GC or a combination of GC and BB alternating
