..my Donald Bradman namesake rose is doing well, which reminds ;o) that he is often reported as emphasising with the players the need to make the game interesting for the fans, take chances, declare with time to give the other team a chance and such...how wise he was. Any game gets ultra boring one team wins all the time or close to it. Nice for the odd season here and there, but longer term there's no interest. Winning's not everything...may we never see again a focus on the outcome to the extent that someone bowls underarm!!

Your garden is wonderful.
Congratulations on the well earned win both for the Ashes and the great boost the games and the way they were played have done for the game of cricket.
We were sitting up till 4 a.m. on quite a few nights and enjoying it all.
And then there was the Tennis.

Wonderful to see the joyful enthusiasm of the english spectators.Congratulations on a welldeserved win.....and I am not going to say ANYTHING about the soccer!
