Perfect Moment-..........AAAHHH Help!

perfect for getting powdery mildew. Every year this happens.
The rose is very healthy, looking good and out I come today and here it is again!
Powdery Mildew.Happens every year. Its the only rose affected. After this ,it seems to struggle and the leaves curl up and it doesnt produce many blooms.
3 years in a row!!!
AAAHHH...............
Earlier this year I repotted it ,new potting mix-best quality good position.
What can I do?
Does anyone have a similiar problem with their "Perfect Moment"?
I think I might put into the ground. Is it too late to move it?
Thanks
Michelle

Hope you haven't planted it yet ,Michelle, there's a hailstorm forecast for Melb.tonight!Just avoid planting your rose in extreme heat,it will be fine plus some Seasol.
Have you tried the milk and water spray on the mildew,I find it works well for me?
We've had steady rain in Newcastle all day and of course Jude the Obscure(Austin)has its first buds of the season poised to flower. In desperation I've covered it with an umbrella pinned to the ground with the garden fork.JtO balls badly so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I would love to see a picture of that umbrella protecting the rose! Ah, the rose addiction, it makes us do some desperate things sometimes, doesn't it?

Not to worry-I put umbrellas over the petunias on very hot days esp with a north wind!
It makes a huge difference.
I also used the umbrella trick on my Paul Cezanne when I had just bought it because of rain and the buds were just about to flower.:)
and my mother does the same with her Hydrangas.(sp?)
you are not alone!
cheers

Actually I had a burst of energy and together with my husband we planted 4 roses:

Perfect Moment...to see if it goes better in the ground.
Pat Austin
Christian Dior
Golden Celebration

They should be a good colour combo-yellows orange red/orange.
Hopefully now we will be able to get some in the ground over the next few weeks
Plaur: Thanks for the tip. The rose seems to have picked up but i will use the milk solution next time it flares up.
cheers
Michelle
