Open rose gardens

From posts in previous years, I know that a number of good rose gardens are open for inspection in Snodge's outer Sydney area around Octoberish and that's only a couple of weeks away now.
Snodge, would you be kind enough to post details about your neighbouring "Opens" when you hear of them? And maybe people in other areas/States could do the same for the benefit of those nearby or travelling? It would be much appreciated.

OK. You can usually get the books at our local nursery. I'm planning to head out there thismorning, so I'll see if the info's available.

Here is the web site for the Open Garden Scheme. It has some of the gardens listed by state, with descriptions of what they grow.

Here is a link that might be useful: Open Garden Scheme website

Generally the local rose garden opening scheme has run by sale of a book that tells you about the gardens and where they are, this entitles you to access and money raised goes to Lifeline. I've checked the usual outlet, nothings on sale yet. I'll make some inquiries.

Thanks, Snodge. I'm happy to buy the book if it's on sale this year. (Did you have a good time at the nursery?)
I appreciate the tip Femmeradsy, and I do use the Open Garden Scheme, but not too many gardens in the Sydney area specialise in roses and Snodge's area seems to have a separate scheme in which they do feature.
