No, not much perfume at all. I bought it for the colouring.
I'm pretty pleased with it, considering I don't think I've got it quite in the right spot.
I only got about 2 flowers off it last year but that was it's first year so I was real pleased that I've 4 off it already this year.

Hi. The perfume of Papi Delbard should be quite strong. Strange that you say yours has not much. I have a few in pots in the shop and even though they have only had a few flowers on them , you can smell them from quite a distance.
Its a good climber too.

Like you, Annie, I planted Papi Delbard last year. Mine hasn't flowered yet this season but I remember the perfume as being quite strong. The colouring is so delicate and beautiful.

Hazel.

oooops! well, I know that I don't have much of a sense of smell but I didn't think it was that bad.
They are just about dead now but I asked my son to tell me what he thought and he said too, that there wasn't much perfume.
Now, I'll have to wait til the next batch and make a point of smelling it when it's fresh.
It's really supposed to be strong, eh?
