| Funny, June, July flowering like anything. August whammo - all fast asleep, no leaves, bare as a baby's bottom..
Little red pimples starting to show, so in a week or two they will be back on track, but it's interesting. How late they descided to shut down, compared to previous years, and now the short nap - then off again. Crepuscule never dropped a leaf. the Hybrid Musks seem not to, but everything else.. a garden full of sticks... |

| Yes the same thing happening up here Fran only they never went to sleep. I had to prune when they were staring to flower after the warmer weather Having done that all the roses now are covered in new leaves and I am just waiting for those first buds to appear what a woderful sight that will be. Cheers...MM |

| I wish them a lovely nap and then a good breakfast of chook poo. (what more could anybody want) |

| I've given my lot a sprinkling of Sulphate of Potash and sheep manure. They're getting the attention they deserve. Haven;t tackled the back yet. |

| It's been a very weird July here. I was getting worried 'cause I had only just started pruning in July, everything's fooled by the unseasonally warm weather. Fair share of sticks among the few in cooler positions, but so many others well into putting out their new growth. Worst i suppose is the perennials who are starting to put out. Cold again thismorning with some frost....still no need to worry now I think about it, when I planted most of what's there, I was too influenced by a mild snap and planted out a whole pile of cuttings, then bang, frost all over everything...none seemed to mind fortunately, just shrugged it off and grew like topsy. |

| Everything here has lots of purple pink buds and new growth - the roses think that spring is coming and so do the blossom trees - where was winter - maybe it was cold for one day or so - I remember seeing a frost on one or two mornings but I am already in spring mode and trying to get all my bare rooted roses into the ground asap - exhausting but the number of buds on so many of these roses heralds a lovely spring and I cannot wait! |

| Yeah, blossom trees around here are in full flower. Your place will be heaven on earth very soon I'd say kevarose. |
