Handel climbing rose

Our local mitre 10 store had their roses out and I grabbed three of these but this one seems to be doing better than the others. Considering I wasn't sure just how it would look I think Handel has come up quite well

I thought Handel had dark edges, or has the sun faded them. Cheers... MM.

This is the label of Handel climbing rose but buds were much darker. The rose is opositioned in full morning sun

Hi Jan,

I also think the pic is of another rose and not Handel sorry. Sometimes Handel is mixed up with La Minuete also of the same colouring.

The label looks right from what I can see of it, but your rose is definitely something else... looking at the weak neck its either an oldie or an Austin.

Thanks everyone. I guess I will just learn to love it anyway. I wouldn't bring myself to take it out when it seems so content. Jan
