Update for the SE catchup in New Farm Park

Posted by Brissy QLD Aust (My Page) on

I have been told that the Summerhouse and the cafes near the Park have closed down so .........

Why don't we have our own picnic tea. Can everyone bring a plate of something to share and their own drink and we will all have a picnic lunch next to the roses. I will bring a blanket and a picnic set for some plates and glasses etc can others please do the same?

I will bring some rolls, ham, cheese and tomatoes.

Ashmeri - I will bring enough plates etc for 4 so don't worry about that.

What does everyone think?

Cheers,

Brissy

Brissy,

There is a free band concert in New Farm Park Sunday 4 September from 2pm. I hope these do not attract huge crowds.

A picnic lunch is fine with me. I could bring something savoury. An alternative could be the New Farm Deli in Brunswick Street not far from the park. I suspect we would need to book.

Hazel.

Here is a link that might be useful: New Farm Deli

Thanks Hazel for that tip.

I have now made a booking at the New Farm Deli for 1pm so please lets have some hands up of who is coming for numbers and feedback and if this is ok with everyone instead of in the Park which we can walk to easily after lunch.

If you don't want lunch you could have a coffee and cake-Yum.

If it is crowded at New Farm Park it would be nice to be at our own table at this great Deli.

Cheers,

Brissy

Apologies from Judy.
I just can't get a decent amount of time off to justify the cost.
Cheers

We will miss you Judy, fair enough, thanks for even thinking of coming.

Hopefully we might be able to fit another catch up for the rosies either at the end of the year or next year and you can come to that.

Cheers,

Brissy
