Can't wait

I know that winter is a good time to prune the roses and generally clean up in the garden. Apart from gerberas I have nothing flowering and the garden looks dull. As I prune early my roses are starting to shoot (as well as getting a good dose of aphids). I have brought 7 new hybrid t's and most of them are in pots. Whilst the roses in pots aren't as big as if they are in the ground I get good flowers. I can't resist going to my nursery and adding to what I already have and as I have run out of room in the garden, pots are the next best thing. I can't wait for the new roses to flower and see if they reach my expectations. Even people who aren't gardeners should plant a few roses. At the end of the day for not a lot of work the rewards are endless. Roll on spring
