Aphid magnets!

Hiya
I pruned a little early this year (about mid June) and some of my roses are starting to sprout early. In particular my Papa Meilland has tons of little leaves already. However I was shoucked to discover yesterday, the undersides of the leaves already covered with aphids in some spots. I immediately angrily sprayed everyone (particularly Papa) with Pyrithrum (sorry about spelling).

My other roses were not effected yet (Angel Face, Mr Lincoln, Queen Liz, yellow carpet).

I thought it would be good to share other roses that are particularly susceptible to aphids...

Olde Fragrance and Duke of Edinburgh are coated with aphids but Camille Pissarro and The Prince don't have a single one, even on their newest leaves.
