Annie, how did you know that they got me at the border. !!!! but it was for the Horse Brasses I bought not plants, the man at Hong Kong thought I was bringing out Gold, took some convincing he did that it was only brass. Got them home though. It was the hardest thing I have ever had to do, not buying plants at the Flower show, I was trying to think who had rellies in London I could get some for. LOL |

| They are all so beautiful. I have never been to a rose show. Do we have any in Australia? But if we do, I bet they couldn't compare with that! |

Sallybcs, It was very hard to say which was my favourite, David Austin had one that was so full of perfume and after the roses there were so many other plants and flowers that I will just have to say that the whole show both inside and out was something I wiash everyone could go to see. Marion |

Just beautiful Marion and I can almost smell them from here!! I think Annie meant that maybe you had tried to smuggle some plants in and were caught by Border Patrol LOL!!! It was bad enough trying to get your horse brasses in wasnt it!! But I can understand you would have been itching to buy some of those roses! And other plants too. Cheers, Jean |

Wonderful pics Marion. What a fantastic display. I hope you really enjoyed your holiday. Was Chelsea crowded? I would love to go one day. Nothing wrong with dreaming.:)) Michelle |

| Hi Marion - I was at the Chelsea Flower show this year - it was my main reason for going to the UK. It was fabulous - all rose lovers should try to go at least once. Michelle, if you can ever go - DO! But the flight over is horrible and the cost high. Worth it to go once. I bought a DVD of the show I haven't looked at yet - saving it for a special viewing, maybe at Xmas this year. I loved the David Austin stand of course, and looked eagerly for his latest release. The Darcey Bussell one really stood out, didn't it? We probably literally bumped into each other in admiration, it got so incredibly crowded. A top tip that worked for me - go early and go to the main marquee first. Actually, I liked the Peter Beales display best. Lovely ramblers. And you are right Marion about the difficulty of not being able to say - I'll have that one, and that one, oh, and that one, plus 3 of those! I would have been like a kid in the most fabulous sweet shop ever. Thanks for putting up your pics, they were a lovely reminder of a marvellous day - when I work out how to use photobucket I'll put mine on too. Did you get to any gardens while you were there? I went to Mottisfont - a mind-blowing experience. Cheers Rosa_Mundi |

Rosa, I still , in quiet moments think of Chelsea, and if anyone gets the chance to go GO GO GO. The flowers were so wonderful, many of them not seen here yet and the displays were so beautifully done. We went down and spent a day at Sissinghurst later in June and all the Roses were at full bloom even though they are having a drought there at the moment, funny to see so much green and flowers in the middle of a drought when you think what it is like here. Gardens everywhere and I especially loved the flowering pots in all the towns hanging from lamp posts and shop fronts, so colourful. Marion, who wants to go again and again. LOL |
