at the number of Roses on display at the Ayr Agricultural Show last weekend.
The flowers were wonderful to my untrained eyes, I thought that it might be too hot and humid up there for Roses to be grown but when we were moving round the town there were many garden with Roses growing very happily in them.
Champion bowl of Roses
Runner up Bowl
A few of the single exhibits
Please excuse the shaky pictures but I had to stick the camera through some wire to get the pictures.

Marion they are all so beautifu, yes it is amazing what you can grow up north. We have a member that grows them in the Northern Territory so I reckon if you can grow them there, they will grow anywhere. I like that salmon pink one in the Singles Exhibits do you know its name ? Great Pics...MM |

When I see them like that, I remember why I love them so much. and really the first thing you have to do if you want to grow roses in the north is to pick the right varieties...that really is half the battle. Annie Nice photos, too, Marion |
