Hi everyone, finally arrived back home yesterday from Melbourne and I promised a few of the girls that I will let them know which roses I have ordered, there are nineteen and they are coming bare rooted in July.

One HT "Alexander" Vermilion
It was so bright it stood out like a neon light I just had to have it, a traffic stopper near the front gate perhaps.

3ft Standards:
Camp David.
Charles de gaulle ( which does not like humidity so I am changing it to Blue Moon )
Edelweiss
Joy of life
Julia's rose
Seduction
Brass band.

Climbers:
Two Crepscule....... Hubby had better get a move on with those two Arches I can picture them now.
Two Westerland.

Ramblers:
Three Lavender Dream.....For a small side fence, its not built yet.

Carpet roses:
Pink Bassino
Red Bassino
Our rosy carpet
Sea foam

It was so hard to stop at the ten I was only going to get, when surrounded by this sea of wonderful blooms I just could not help myself. I wonder if I have choosen the right ones, O well only time will tell.....MM.

Hi MM

What an impressive list! You have it all covered-climbers,standards etc.You must have planned it!
I buy on impulse-then think about the plan!
Its exciting to be waiting on such an order.
I have a Charles de Gaulle and its great here in Melb,Blue Moon is a stunner as well here. Both have fantastic perfume.
You would know which ones suit your climate.
Good Luck with the new arrivals:))

They all sound wonderful MM it seems you have a bit of work there to get done before the delivery but how exciting when they all arrive, I find blue moon does no good here it balls we have heavy dews most of the year I think that is what causes it.

Hi Michelle, Chris from Magic Garden phoned me before and he said that
Charles de gaulle would be Ok in this climate.

Jan, he also said that it may ball if in bud when we get a heavy shower
of rain in the summer ( I WISH ) so I have stayed with the C de G.

Fran, my Westerland is a climber I want those two for a archway
but I will try to plant C de G which is a standard nearby seeing
I have too many standards for my new already prepared hexagon Rose bed,
Many thanks for that tip.....MM

I got my Anvil Sparks from MGR and it is blooming its head off .I have to build more beds for my roses and then I have promised myself a trip to MGR with the ute so there is plenty of room for the roses that I will have to buy once I get there.
It is a bit of a drive but most likely to be well worth it.
Then I could swing past Ross roses at willinga as I make my way back to Balaklava. Now theres a thought...........

Oh!!What a trip!
Lucky you are taking a ute-I could not be trusted doing a trip like that.
I have been to Magic gardens twice now and bought a total of about 10 roses there and they have all been growing beautifully.
Also they have great advice as well.
