HI MM

I have added a pic of Lovely Lady. When I got home last night a new bud had opened. It is a mighty rose.

Next job is to add a sturdy stake.

Michelle yours is such a lovely deep Pink. It is very pretty.
Mine is a triffle on the pale side have a look and not quite open.

That is probably because mine gets a fair bit of shade
Due to our hash Sun, what do you think maybe I should move it
to my new Rose Bed, that will gets heaps more sun or leave it where it is.
On second thoughts do you think there could be two Lovely Ladys ?
Thanks for the Pic...MM

Oh MM
Your photo is gorgeous. It is a beautiful colour.
I think there is a bit of luck when it comes to colour. When you buy the rose I think luck plays a part.
If you are happy with your colour then all is well. Thats all that really matters.
In regard to the sun I try to get my roses to have at least 5-6 hours a day. Here in Melbourne its posible. I have some roses that prefer differing amounts of sun.
I have a Pat Austin that has thrived since I put it in a really hot place.
Yet one nearly conked out when in that spot.
Sometimes I think they are tempremental things!!
However I have found that once I added Terra Firma organic Fertilizer the colour improved in every rose.
The colour is now deeper and longer lasting (not fading so quickly)
The Terra Firma is mix of blood and bone, seaweeds and nitrogen plus a heap of other goodies.I apply it say every 3-4 weeks. My experience is that it heightens the colour and the rose becomes resistant to disease, particulary BS. I get it a bit but nothing to worry about.
Thankyou for your photo.
I have added one of Pat Austin in her new spot going mad! Before I was lucky to get 2 blooms.
Cheers
Michelle

Thats a pretty one too Michelle, the only DA I have is Mary Rose it is in the sun 24/7
and not doing to well so it is going into my new bed with all new bought soil.
I wonder if I should add some Potash to my pale roses I do that to my red Frangapani
when it starts to go a dark pink, but will look around for the one you suggest.
Thanks for your Help...MM
