| The bush in my garden is unfortunately, one of those bought from an old nursery that has roses that you have longed for - and has left them rootbound in a pot for a few years.. so it doesn't grow as it should *sigh*
So I'll have to get another young one from somewhere..somewhere... as it is the most lovely thing. The one in my garden is very like the one in the first photos on the link underneath - which also gives it's history, the petals do reflex so far the rose resembles a star.. it IS lovely.. I just wish I could have bought a healthier specimen *sigh* http://www.rosegathering.com/abelchat.html |

| Fran - I was going to get a climbing version of her but threw out the idea when I read somewhere that she was VERY thorny .... and I already have Sombrueil and that is thorny enough for the rest of my lifetime (should've opted for Lamarque instead). Is your Mme Abel bush very thorny - as compared to other teas?? |

| Can't say I've noticed!! She's not as bad as some I have and she's so beautiful, it's worth it. Mine is a fairly small bush anyway. |

| Annabel you took the words out of my mouth. Same here. Isn't it something when those petals reflex into the star? |
