Hi everyone,

I would like to prune my roses about now...as I livein Brisbane I thought there was no problem cause it is never very cold over here anyway......but I am not sure. Any suggestion??
Cheers,

No its much too early you will find that they will probably bloom again before winter, I give mine a short hair cut every time they finish flowering and a couple of weeks later they are all in bud again.

Maybe it is better to wait for a rose growing expert in Brissie, but to me its much too warm to prune, as they will only sprout again.....MM

Agree, way too early, wait at least another 10 weeks.

There is a Queensland Rose Society with members who can advise the pros and cons of pruning appropriately in your climate.
