Anyone growing Aloha?

I'd like some comment on your experience of Aloha, please. Put one in last year because it gets such a rave from all the authorities and is the parent of so many roses. It has grown like the proverbial beanstalk - great strong canes and big candelabras of buds. But I haven't had a single flower: every last one has balled and rotted. The buds seem to be a stubby shape with a flattish top which collects moisture. I can see that I wouldn't get an autumn flush in the circumstlances; the wettest months in Katoomba are late summer, early autumn. But I didn't get spring or summer either. Is this normal for this rose? Should I give up?

RE: Anyone growing Aloha?

Mine was only a self rooted cutting last year so not much help. I got one flower, but since the cooler weather it has begun to grow along with the other ones. It's not in an ideal spot so may shift it in winter.
