Preparing a Roses Tour

Hi! I'm a tour guide in Barcelona (Spain) and I offer different kinds of tours. I'm planning to include in my parks and gardens tour a beautiful rose garden called Rosaleda Cervantes, and I would be really thankful if you could give me some ideas to add to my speech and improve it.
The garden is divided in several different areas, and one of them is devoted to the roses from AUSTRALIA, NEW ZEALAND AND OCEANIA.

The kind of information I need could include:
- Basic info I cannot forget about that speciphic kind of rose, what makes it special.
- Historical facts about their descovery and evolution.
- Special care needs and botanical characteristics that make them outstand from other roses.
- Anecdotes, tales, stories or symbology relative to this type of rose.

Thank you very much for your help. Any idea will be precious and more than welcome!

RE: Preparing a Roses Tour

It may help if we knew some of the varieties of roses growing in the gardens or if roses from particular breeders form part of the collection. Roses are not native to the Southern hemisphere so that all roses grown in our part of the world are imported, either by commercial growers or as cuttings that came in with people when they settled here.
