Hi everyone,
It looks like the roses are in on Big W. At least locally...for those who will buy some Big W roses this year the warning is given. Let us know which roses have you bought.
Cheers,

I will have to try to get the catalogues for Cairns. At least here if I get them and plant they are good little plants by Spring (what's that, we have the wet and warm and cool and dry). Cheers Judy |

| We got our shipment on thursday. Good healthy looking plants. By next week i would imagine all the stores should have them. |

| Yaaaah, Thanks for the tip Hunty and Shaneqld. Bunnings have them as well, but only the basic HT mainly. Icebergs, Double Delight, Just Joey, Elina, Blue Moon etc. I am getting some standard ones and climbers this year from Big W etc then my beautiful old ones from Reliable Roses, I'm getting some different large bloom roses from Trewyllens in Bundy as I stopped in there on the way home from a business trip and they were so helpful and the roses healthy and a good size not sticks- also it's always nice to give some business to a Queenslander then Treloars because of their great range and specials. All the time trying to keep my list down!!!!! Cheers, Brissy |

| They looked quite healthy today in Big W Ballarat. I bought a Double Delight and 2 Gold Bunny. Good strong plants. The GB's have a place but I will have to think where I'm going to put the DD. |

I am going to resist the temptation of the bigw roses this year. I bought in numbers last year both from chain stores and specialist suppliers. The chain store ones that were bought later in the season June July did far better than my early impulse buys in April and May. The ones that were delivered in July from the specialists have been the standouts. Jan |

I bought a Double Delight Climber today, but no DA or Standards in for another four weeks here. The plants looked OK, but a lady was pinching all the new shoots off ( To conserve moisture she said ) I may look elsewere for other ones as not much variety here yet....MM |
